It is not always easy for students to see the relevance of philosophy to their major fields of study or their life. Philosophy is mistakenly taken to be an "arguer's" study that is devoid of meaning for everything is prone to argumentation and criticism. On the contrary, philosophy is one of the few disciplines that is relevant to all fields of study for it helps students to think even more clearly, to stop being naive when encountered with difficult situations, to have a wider scope when looking at issues, to have basis for making decisions, and to tease out the goodness of other studies. Study our first year courses, PHI 1010 to understand and appreciate fully the value of studying philosophy. Then proceed to other field-specific courses in second to four year.
